Adil Gowani is a 25 year old Mexican/ Pakistani defender. He began playing soccer at the age of three for a youth league called St Hughs. Adil was born and raised in New York. He attended Huntington High School and played all four years. After high school, he attended Nassau Community College for two years and then transferred to Mercy College. Once Adil finished college, he moved to Mexico to pursue a professional career. In the summer of 2018, he signed his first professional contract. He participated in Mexico’s Copa VAR with Sporting Canamy and shortly after went on to play with Tuxtla FC in Mexico’s segunda división Liga Premier Sería A. After Tuxtla FC, Adil went back to Sporting Canamy. In the fall of 2019, he made his way back to the United States to join Atlanta SC in NISA. Besides soccer, he enjoys cooking and spending time with family.
